Within every aspect of creation you find an innate rhythm. It is unique to the individual form, whether it is solid like a rock, crystalline as a snowflake, liquid like an ocean, physical as a human and animal, or as vast as the solar system. This rhythm is the inner clock, the knowing when to be active and when to rest.
The myriads of atoms structuring a physical form all resonate within their own cadences. Yet, they are wondrously synchronized to maintain interconnectedness and therefore the solid shape.
This amazing joining extends further with nature, the planet, the sun, the universe and ultimately creation. It is a magnificent and mystical, harmonious unity of a unified flow from the almost undetectable quark to the inhalation and exhalation of creation.
Every action is followed by the need to pause. Whether it is sleep we need at the end of every day, or nature resting during winter, or evolution initiating a cosmic night after the expansion during a cosmic day, a respite is part of the natural flow of life.
Besides sleep, we need a space and time of stillness to cease all outer activities to replenish emotionally, mentally, energetically and spiritually. It is in that moment, when we sit in silence, flowing with our breath inwardly, that we nurture the unity with our innate rhythm. Then, we reconnect and become aware of the infinite flow we are part of and the wondrousness of life.
Our well-beingness is directly linked to the ability to live one’s innate rhythm. This time of year is a perfect invitation to follow nature’s example to practice to be still and restore as you dwell in the never-ending flow of unity and harmony.
I wish you a very blessed and peaceful holiday season!
