I wanted to take a moment and acknowledge how much Lightsong’s work with our 13 year old daughter has meant to us over the past year. Our daughter was diagnosed with Lyme disease and has been struggling with extreme anxiety and depression. She was withdrawing from her activities and struggling in school. She was very difficult to communicate with and we were, quite frankly, becoming very concerned for her welfare. We were introduced to Lightsong through a mutual friend who had wonderful things to say about the work that had been done with her son. We contacted Lightsong and she was immediately responsive and began working on our daughter remotely while she slept. Through the course of several week working on her once a week we saw a dramatic initial improvement. She was calmer, more positive and upbeat. We found her more willing to engage in the family and activities outside of her room. Basically a darkness lifted from her and has continued to lighten over the past several months. She actually wore a pink hat, white T-shirt and sneakers the other day which is amazing in itself. Her wardrobe has been basic black for the better part of a year We would highly recommend anyone thinking of working with Lightsong to give it a try. We found her detailed updates after each season to be astonishingly accurate in her assessment of what we were experiencing without ever having met our daughter. Really amazing. I wholeheartedly recommend Lightsong. I was first recommended to contact her when my son was 9 years old and experiencing debilitating joint and bone pain all over his body. He’d been to the pediatrician and hospital for various tests which all led nowhere. His pain was such that he was unable to complete a 5 day school week for more than 1 year. Many days he needed help sitting up in bed.
Lightsong helped him when no one else could.
We used to ask him his pain number at various times during the day to track it and it went down almost immediately after we’d spoken to Lightsong. On one particular occasion he was home from school in an acute pain episode. He felt quite hopeless as he longed to go outside and sled in the snow but couldn’t get off the sofa because of pain. Lightsong emailed me that she’d been working on him and the next minute he declared he was going outside. He jumped off the sofa and went out sledding. It was nothing short of miraculous. I am actually feeling overwhelmed with emotion and gratitude remembering that day and writing about it here.
I can’t accurately put into words what it feels like emotionally, physically and metaphysically to know Lightsong and have her in your life. I am very blessed to have attended a one day workshop in NYC and a 5 day retreat in Iceland. To explain how they have affected me is like describing the indescribable. As we all know, life is a journey, and that journey is not always easy. Working with Lightsong has been an amazing experience.
