Beauty comes in many forms. Mostly, we associate beauty with appearance or an object of art, architecture, nature and so forth. However, beauty is essentially the language of soul. It is an innate impulse of a soul to express beauty. Without it a soul stagnates.
Throughout history, every culture and society had their own definitions of what was deemed beautiful. This involved every aspect of the daily life, from the shape of the human body, fashion, interior design, music, writings, the relationship to nature, etc. This is still true today. We always have perceived beauty as something extraordinary, created by the gifted. Physical appearance is often categorized by what is desired or what is being feared, like aging.
In order for a soul to thrive, one needs to feel safe and supported to express one’s true nature. It begins with being nurtured, starting in utero, and the acceptance of one’s individuality. Then beauty ignites into an ever-expanding symphony of a unified authenticity.
Beauty is inherently simple and ordinary. Often, it is silent It is the rhythm and flow of the inner landscape, permeating our physicality. If this innate richness hasn’t been able to fully unfold and grow due to trauma and the resulting anxiety, insecurities, grief, disconnect, rage…..the outer life of a person is rather a repeat of routines, without nurturing the creative nature and therefore the beauty that lies within every cell and human being.
Creativity is not only about creating a masterpiece. It is much more about giving voice to your delight and curiosity. For some it is to bake delicious pies, for others to garden or to hike up a mountain, to dance, to clean the bathroom, to sit in silence with a good friend, to help a neighbor, to extend a welcoming hand to a foreigner, to learn a different language….there is no limitation to one’s ability to express beauty when living according to one’s heart.
Beauty is not always about looks and what is defined as perfection. It reflects a state of harmony with oneself and life and is rather a never-ending song that can manifest in innumerous ways and forms.
We live in times when the true nature of beauty can overcome the divide of polarization as we flourish in the unity of the heart and with Divine Love.
